Don't update the initial line state after undo. Add a button to the split editbox to remove the line text only, leaving override tags. Make the split editor readonly rather than disabled. Add padding between the split editbox buttons. Everything is now built with Visual Studio 2012. Set end times to zero when pasting plain text. Write log files incrementally so that they actually exist for crashes. Regular expressions in the search and select lines dialogs now use perl syntax. Fix case-insensitive searching for languages other than English. Only perform charset detection once when opening subtitles. Add an option to not skip blank lines when importing plain text files. Improve handling of whitespace in the fonts collector. Use boost.locale for better spellchecker word splitting.

Display the full list of supported character sets if detection fails catastrophically. Don't display an error message if user cancels the charset selection dialog. Delay loading command line arguments until after Aegisub is fully initialized. Count characters rather than bytes in the character counter. Use ICU for checking if characters are whitespace. The short-term effects of this are slightly better performance and memory usage, and probably a pile of new bugs. Mostly purge wxWidgets from non-UI stuff. Add "aegisub.lfs" automation module which provides the sane subset of lfs's functionality. Add "aegisub.argcheck" automation module which provides simple argument type checking for functions. Rewrite a bunch of the automation modules. Fix incorrect results for non-regex skip tags searches. Make toggle buttons on OS X much more visibly distinct so that you can actually tell if they're enabled or not. Avoid briefly displaying the font indexing dialog when opening video or the style editor when the font index doesn't actually need to be updated.

Windows version is now built with Visual C++ 2015. There are not really any advantages to the 64-bit builds, and they exist only because they aren't much extra work and some people really wanted them for whatever reason. Note that if you just PM me "hi" and nothing else I will probably not get around to responding unless I am very bored. A ticket on the bug tracker is the preferred method, but complaining on irc (#aegisub on ), or via email are acceptable as well.

A bunch of the automation machinery has been rewritten to work via LuaJIT's ffi rather than the C API. Opening multiple documents at once is now supported on OS X, and in general Aegisub tries to behave like a proper document-based application. This may become an option on other platforms in the future libass on Windows does not perform font substitutions when a font is missing glyphs to make it more obvious that you need to pick a font for those characters. fontconfig has been dropped on OS X and Windows in favor of GDI/CoreText-based solutions.
